This year DotYork, Yorkshire’s Digital Conference, is being held at the Central Methodist Church, St. Saviourgate on Thursday 9th November.
For those not in the know, this is an established event enjoying it’s 4th year; a one-day conference focused on tech, creativity and business.
Sponsored by big names such as BYTEMARK, piksel and shopify, this year, The Distance have decided to get in on the action.
To celebrate us sponsoring such a fantastic -and local- event, we’ve decided to give away one ticket worth £130 to one very imaginative person.
There’s not much fun in picking names out of a hat, so we had a think about how we could spice things up a bit. How can we get those creative juices flowing, whilst keeping our technical edge. So we decided on this:
Who can come up with the most ridiculous, funniest, outrageous or downright genius app idea, and pitch it to us in a single tweet: that’s 130 characters!
“…130?!” we hear you cry: it’s a well-known fact Twitter offer a generous 140 characters per tweet. However, you must use the hashtag #AppBattle to be in with a chance of winning.
We’re only running this competition until November 7th, and the winner will be announced on November 8th, so get your thinking caps on and your ideas sent in fast!
