When you hear the phrase ‘mcommerce’ or ‘mobile commerce’, what does it conjure up for you? A simple app that gives a customer access to a retail outlet at their fingertips? Or something more?

The Distance wins ‘New Business of the Year’

I just wanted to say a huge thanks to The Press (York), and all the judges that voted The Distance their ‘New Business of the Year’. It’s a great honour and we are hugely humbled by the recognition from the York business community.

We set our expectations for the business, our staff and ourselves very high from the very first day of trading. I’m glad to say the entire team has stepped to the mark! We’d like to dedicate this award to the exceptional people behind us. This one is for you lads!

Smoko goes live

We have had the pleasure of working with the guys over at Smoko on the launch of their new electronic cigarette company. We worked with them across the branding, photography, ecommerce development, packaging and on-going marketing campaign.

It’s a great case study of how offline and online can work exceptional well together. They have a great offline strategy made up of kiosks in shopping centres across the country helping drive traffic online for the refill cartridges.

Todd from Smoko comments: “In 2012, we built up a chain of retail stores throughout the UK and felt the natural progression for our brand was to establish an online presence to further our mission of giving smokers everywhere their freedom back.”
