Our Relationship

We handle all things digital including the website, ongoing email marketing and email invitations, ensuring there is a good turn out for the exhibition opening nights. We have completed phase #1 on the digital roadmap and we are now working on some exciting plans to bring According to McGee into the eCommerce space.

The Distance have been involved with designing and coding our website. We’re a new gallery in a fiercely competitive market and in a difficult financial epoch. To impart our message we needed a focused and proactive agency to take the helm and to follow in the luminous direction of The Beautiful Meme, the creative agency who essentially relaunched us.

Ryan Atkins and company took the baton and have lived up to their eponymous pledge – on every level they have gone ‘the distance’. Their vision, their savvy and their reassurances have been a huge benefit, and now that the site is running, now that the e-commerce side of the gallery is ready to take flight, I can look back on my decision to approach Ryan Atkins as one of the best business decisions I’ve made.
Greg McGee

As the gallery manager at According to McGee it is my job to keep our space looking slick, smooth and contemporary just like the art we exhibit. These days a website is an extension of who you are and what you are trying to achieve as a business and you need someone on your side that understands that.

We wanted to take our white cube aesthetics online and the team at ‘The Distance’ understood that. They have experienced the gallery space and our exhibitions from conception through hanging, up to the perfectly finished launch, which makes them part of the family and all our jobs easier. Their expert knowledge of email marketing has increased the amount of clients and admirers of cutting edge, contemporary art attending our events, which is the sign of a successful partnership and one which will continue to get stronger.
